Natasha at 5 Star Foodie invited me to do a guest blog post on her beautiful and delicious website. Of course, I was excited and flatered at the same time because as you can see from her website she is an avid cook with a taste for the finer things in cooking and life in general. I set to work with my new ice cream maker and made a Candied Kumquat Ice Cream that I am still dreaming about. For the story and the recipe you need to click HERE, but here are a few pictures to nudge to do so.

Added Note: I submitted this entry in the Ice Cream Social hosted by three blogs:
ScottySnacks
Savor the Thyme
Tangled Noodle
Wish me luck!

Hi Eralda! I saw your guest post at 5 Star Foodie and love your Candied Kumquat Ice Cream.
I've joined two other bloggers, ScottySnacks and Savorthethyme in hosting an 'Ice Cream Social', inviting everyone to share their ice cream or other frozen treats with us! Lovely guest post :) It definitely sounds like an amazing ice cream. I always love how creative you are!
I guess you candy the whole thing and eat it peel and all? I've never come into contact with kumqats, but I've been interested in them.
Kerstin, thank you. It was really delicious.
Diana, you don't candy the whole thing, you just cut the kumquat into small bites. Hop on over to 5 Star Foodie to see an illustration of the size of the kumquat bites.
Love this recipe and the photos, as usual. :) I'm so impressed with your rising Internet fame!
